meaning of baby name?
Does anyone know the meaning and/or origin of the name Euzela or Uzela (eu-zee-la)? I had a great-aunt born in the early 1900s named this and would like to name my new baby after her. I have seen it spelled both ways.

Wow– I cant find anything on those names at any baby name sites.
But it is a unique and individual name, ill give you that, and thats haf the fun right? I doubt she’ll ever know anyone with the same name as her and its not a bad name either. I think its a good name if thats what you want to name your daughter.

Eu-Zela is Grieks. "EU" is goed. "Zela" van "zelos" is enthousiast voor of na te streven of emuleren. (Denk aan "ijver", "ijverige", "zeloot"). Dus Euzela ofwel zou zijn "zij die emuleert of streeft na het goed" of "zij die streeft of emuleert goed".
