English name for a Chinese baby?

My friend’s sister has had a baby boy. The parents have chosen his Chinese name, but they have asked my friend (the aunt) to do the honour of naming him with an English name. This name would be official, so it’s a big deal that they find the right name.

Can you suggest any names? Please don’t pick them from a list, but suggest the names that are important to you personally
I don’t know the baby’s surname, sorry. I’ll just show her the list of the answers I get
and sorry, by English I mean, used in English speaking countries. But they don’t need to be of English origin

   Tristan. Meine Frau ist Asian-American, und wir beide, wie sie, werden wir es benutzen, wenn wir eines Tages einen Sohn haben. Wir haben noch nie von einer asiatischen (oder die Hälfte in Asien in unserem Fall gehört) Jungen namens Tristan, und die meisten von ihnen sind ziemlich langweilig, fad "American" oder "Englisch" Namen … Sam, David, Daniel, etc.
